Fun for the Family contains a series of activities and requirements designed to help strengthen families and to develop good characters skills among family members. This optional scouting award encourages families to interact and connect through five activity areas, which incorporates Cub Scouting’s 12 Core Values.

Join Scouting WDW and explore several ways you may complete some of the family activities – the Disney way!

Building a Family Team

From the BSA “Fun for the Family” Guide:
The family should work together to achieve common goals and objectives. Members must learn, lead, follow, and contribute to the family welfare. This cooperation creates a sense of belonging and empowerment for members to participate in both challenges and rewards. The objectives are to learn respect for leaders and followers, to take responsibility for one’s self and others, and to adopt appropriate values while rejecting inappropriate behaviors.

Examples of family activities in this category could include planting a garden, having a read-a-thon, and planning a budget.
